Description:

Handmade Haitian Metal Wall Art Tropical Palms, Sun & Birds (23" x 23") by Louis Antelus
Bring the warmth of the tropics into your space with this striking handmade metal sculpture crafted by Haitian artist Louis Antelus. Using traditional techniques passed down through generations, Louis transforms recycled 55-gallon steel oil drums into intricate works of art that celebrate nature, resilience, and creativity.

Each sculpture begins as a discarded oil barrel, hand-cut, flattened, and shaped using only a hammer and chisel. The artists skilled craftsmanship reveals a vibrant tropical scene of palm trees, radiant sun, and graceful birds, symbolizing life and renewal.
This piece measures 23" x 23" and is equally stunning indoors or outdoors. A clear protective finish preserves its luster while showcasing the natural patina of hand-worked steel.
Every purchase supports Fair Trade practices, ensuring that the artisans receive fair wages and safe working conditions while sustaining their communities in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti the heart of Haitian metal art.
